Big Tiny Love

children's music festival

BTL is The Skinny Pancake's annual children's music festival to benefit the University of Vermont Medical Center Children's Hospital, which attracted nearly 1000 attendees in its first year. I helped conceptualize and design the event, also also developed the site plan and merchandise, advanced bands, ran the stage, and mixed sounds for the first two years of operation.

A Midwinter Night's Dream

A Midwinter Night's Dream was an interdisciplinary music, food, and performance art event, co-produced by The Skinny Pancake. The night featured bands like Arc Iris, Superhuman Happiness, and Brad Barr. It involved an immersive black box space, multiple room flips, and several inflatable eyeballs. I worked on the build and design teams, advanced bands, ran the stage, mixed, and designed sound.

Sonic Canvas

Sonic Canvas was a concert and video series I co-produced at a series of venues around Burlington VT. The program was a popular local staple for its run, and featured bands like Fever Dolls, Clever Girl, and J Bengoy.

The Gamut Room

The Gamut Room is a student run music venue and performance space at Middlebury College. While working as manager, I developed regular programming ranging from weekly open mics to food festivals, stand-up nights, cultural events (in partnership with cultural organizations), and outdoor music festivals. I also regularly booked off campus bands like Pinegrove, Caroline Rose, Las Rosas, and Oceanator.

MCAB Haunted House

a new annual tradition at Middlebury College

In the the fall of 2016 MCAB cancelled their annual comedian and repurposed the money for a haunted house. I was brought on to design the sets, sounds, and lights ten days before Halloween, which was our opening night. The indoor course involved twenty actors in twelve different rooms including a prison, spider cave, and haunted tower. This video was produced in our second year of operation.
